Happy April Fools’

The first thing I do on April Fools’ is check out what Google has on tap.

“Standard Voicemail Mode” for Google Voice

Google Translate for animals

and, what would be most useful for me,

Store anything in Google Docs.

For 10 cents a kilo, you can upload any object and then retrieve it later with CTRL+F.

Most of the hoaxes immediately notify you when you try to sign up, but the Google docs one actually lets you submit yourself for a beta, asking, “Why should you get to beta test store anything?”

My response:

I travel extensively, around the world.

It would be quite convenient to retrieve physical objects from anywhere.

After you fill out the form, it tells you it was a gag.

You can find more, plus old Google hoaxes at the Wikipedia article.
